With only a guitar, drum machine and the occasional Casio flourish "South Of Paradise" is an impressively diverse and wide-ranging collection of desert vignettes, recorded straight to tape in various dusty locals. Cruising through sun-scorched psychedelia in a rusted out pickup these remote flatlands don't seem half bad, a particular sort of melancholy that one might even enjoy, if it weren't for the loneliness. Forever a few miles separate from a place to call home, sometimes south of paradise is the only place to be... exclusively from JUNGLE GYM.
